The VW on the left is a
1970 Volkswagen 1300 L. The car was
assembled in Portugal and registered in December 1970. It as manufactured in
Germany in July 1970 and then exported CKD to Portugal. The one on the right
is a 1972 Volkswagen 1600 Variant, registered in May 1972. It was also
manufactured in Germany and then exported CKD to Portugal. From Vitor Simoes

This is “Mo” my good old
’64 Beetle. She’s also my daily driver. It was repainted and
reupholstered when I got it and mostly needed mechanical maintenance and a
lot of little repairs. I did have the front end re-bushed and realigned at
a garage; the rest I did myself. We drive it on vacation and to work. I
put about 450 miles on this weekend, already. Not much else to tell. I
just hope everyone gets the joy out of driving their classic air-cooled

an air cooled and has the full Westy package with fresh custom upholstery from
TMI. My wife and I just had a fresh engine put in her.

Hi there,
Here's my Aussie beetle - a true Herbie. 1963 1200cc - all restored engine
and gearbox
new upholstery and paint job - no dings whatsoever all new mechanicals /
brakes / etc was built up completely new on a sandblasted and repainted
floorpan... Pity I'm heading to the UK in February 2004 and will have to
sell it :( I wish I could take it with me! Richard.. from Adelaide,
