General Issues
Adverts will run 30 days on the site, after which they will be deactivated. If you wish to reactivate them, you will be able to do so from the members area, by paying for the activation fee once again.

Posting Text ads on the Beetle/Camper/Other VW Spares, categories is free of charge, (there is a small fee of 20p for the 1st picture uploaded, additional photos after that are just 10p) as long as only part ads are submitted in these categories. If ads with complete cars are entered in the spares categories, they will be deleted by the webmaster.

Text adverts in the following categories VW's wanted, stolen VW's, Swap shop, Lost VW's, & wanted archive are FREE to post text ads. (there is a small fee of 20p for the 1st picture uploaded, additional photos after that are just 10p) But if the asking price is placed in the swap shop section, your advert will be deleted by the webmaster.

Searching
By clicking on the “Search” button, you will be redirected to a search page. You can select the category, the model, a year range or a price range, and also enter keywords that would match your wanted vehicle. The keywords are compared to the car’s title and description. All these fields are optional.

Browsing
You can browse through the vehicle categories, either by clicking on the “Browse” link, or by clicking on one of the categories links located between the “Browse” link and the “Submit your ad” button. With category browsing, you will be shown all the vehicles in that category.

Categories
The vehicles are separated in different categories, which can have subcategories on their own. This feature was made to ease the process of searching for vehicles on the VolksWest site.

Submit an ad
In order to submit an ad, a user will first have to register. After you have completed the registration page, you will be redirected to the ad submission page, where you will be able to choose which type of ad you want to submit (photo or text), in which category you want it to appear, and you will be able to enter the vehicle’s details, along with one main photo, in case the ad is a photo ad. You can also choose to feature your ad on the main page, which will cost an extra fee of £5. After you have completed this step, you will be redirected to PayPal, where you will pay for the ad, (Please note you must be able to pay people with PayPal) and if the payment is confirmed, the ad is activated instantly. If you encounter any problems with the ad’s activation, please contact me at shane@volkswest.co.uk, specifying your username on VolksWest.

Text ads
Text ads are simple ads, and can be only featured on the home page, under the “Featured text ads” menu. There is a charge of £2 for this service.

Photo ads
Photo ads can be submitted by default with one man photo, and if the “feature your ad” option is chosen, they will be featured both on the main page, and on the category page. There is a charge of £5 for this service. For an extra fee, there can be uploaded up to three extra photos for the vehicle. 

Additional photos
The additional photos option appears on the members area, next to each ad. This feature can be activated for photo ads only, and an extra fee must be paid in order to add additional photos. Attention! If this feature is activated but the fee is not paid, then the vehicle for which this feature was applied will be inactive until the payment is confirmed. Members area
Registered users have access to the members area from where they can modify an ad’s details, add additional photos, or submit new ads. Also, from here, they can even account balances for their ads, and activate/deactivate or delete ads.
